Does AI mean anything anymore

About

I'm a PhD researcher based at the University of Manchester. I study reinforcement learning of large models. In particular, developing more efficient approaches for RL when datasets and/or models are large, like in the case of large language modelling.

When I'm not debugging benchmark scripts, I'm probably dancing salsa or climbing. I also play the violin and piano.

Here you'll find a record of both my academic work, and that which I find interesting. It's up to you if you wish to find it interesting also.

I'm funded by the UKRI CDT AI in Decision Making for Complex Systems. My supervisor is Dr. Mingfei Sun whose lab specialises in machine learning at a large scale: large data, large models, large compute. I'm co-supervised by Prof. Manuel López-Ibáñez.
